FMJ and insert question
« on: December 21, 2013, 02:28:00 PM »
I'm looking to try FMJ's and wondered how to use the HIT inserts.  I wanted to use the 75 grain brass insert but I'm not sure if I am suppose to put it behind the standard 16 grain aluminum insert or use the brass insert by itself.

Thanks!

Bill

The brass insert is just that, a threaded insert...you use it in place of the standard insert...it is a break off as well so you can use it full length at 75 grains or break off the end and use it at 50 grains

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

I read that the HIT inserts can actually somehow stiffen spine.  Is there any truth to that?

Not in my experience.
