Scouting today
« on: September 12, 2007, 07:08:00 PM »
This morning I scouted  an oak ridge on my Uncle Jack's property that I haven't been on in a couple seasons. Its pretty remote as far as southern michigan goes...almost a mile in any direction to the nearest public road (lots of farm roads cutting in and out though). Standing in one spot, for about 30 minutes, I saw 10 turkeys, a forkhorn, 8 does, and 1 NICE wide racked buck. I think I will put my youngest son out there this year, give him a crack at the lunker.

That's great Roger, spot like that sounds like it is perfect to keep the younger ones interest up, good luck.

We'd look pretty scary together at the "Father & Son" church picnic, Ken.   :scared:

Redfish - It's just now starting to cool down. We may have frost in the morning.

Roger sounds like you will have an awesome season.  Good luck and hope you son can stick a monster or just stick one that will make him and dad proud!!
