I want to foot a few of my Beemman ICS Bowhunters size 500.  Anyone know what size aluminum shaft will work with them.

The consensus here has been 2117. They are a touch loose but nothing JB WELD cannot fix

Thanks. I tried a 2117 last night and it did seem a little loose.  Was wodering about the JB weld.  I see that JB  has several products. Which one do you all use for trhe footings.

There's generally one formula from HD or the autoparts store.  That's all I've used, didn't know there were choices!

I spent some time trying to figure out if something would fit better than 2117, but didn't come up with anything better.  They're dang near indestructible that way though!  Good luck.

I use 1916 and keep the 1916 insert in the footing, cut the footing about 2" total length including the insert. JB weld the footing on the shaft and the 1916 insert in the footing{first}. You'll have a bomb-proof arrow and won't have to worry about the ICS insert being pushed back and splitting the end of the shaft.  ....Lloyd

2117 and gorilla glue because it expands, as it starts to dry just wipe off the excess as it expands out the ends.

Interesting idea.  I guess you are cutting the arrow to size first.  What arrow are you using the 1916 on.  It won't fit a Beeman ICS Hunter 500.

Tracker 12, you're correct. The dia. of the Beeman "Classic" is .264 if you scrape the wood-grain finnish off where the footing is going to go and the 1916 Easton aluminums fit perfect. I don't have any Beeman ics hunters so ??? The dia of the Axis "400" shafts  is also .264 and is the Axis "400 camo" shafts if you remove the camo finnish.
