I have done a search and didnt come up with a whole lot.  I know I could call Angelo and talk to him, but honestly getting a pack isn't in the budget right now.   I have looked at tons and tons of packs and I keep coming back to lemhi.   Those that have bison gear packs, which material do you prefer and why?   I want a quiet, durable pack, that will hold everything I need it to.   I was really hoping to find one of these used, but they don't seem to ever pop up.  Anyone know roughly what the weight and size of these packs is?  I know a lot of people on here like the first trip explorer, and the lost river, but these just dont appeal to me, and aren't big enough for what I want.    Any info, or anyone looking to get rid of one, would be extremely helpful.

I have a Lost River in wool.  Excellent pack, but rather heavy.  A lemhi is larger yet. I'd recommend the bucksuede type fabric if you get it.  Much lighter than wool.

That's what I was wondering.   I originally wanted the wool for the quietness, but I wondered how the bucksuade, and the wolfskin were .   I would be walking a half mile and under so it doesn't have to be super light.  Basically ,  quiet, durable and comfortable.

I just received my Bison Gear FTE in the grey wool. Very nice color for hunting and super quiet. I also have the Bison Gear Outfitter in the bucksuade and that is nice as well. Both are good choices.

Like Orion, I have the Lost RIver, in wool.  A most excellent pack, well built, well designed, but a bit heavy empty !

I love the ability to have a smaller pack but use a fold out extension to haul meat.  I have been doing that for a while, but using a game bag and my old daypack, which was NOT designed to haul a heavy load.  It HURT.

Pretty certain you will like the Lemhi.

I have one of their lumbar packs, i thinks is the Outfitter with additional pockes and one new hump cell. Mine is from wool, the quality is amazing, great pack, very comfortable.

Two pics from Angelo of the Hump cells, greats to carry more items, weight, or the typical camelbacks. Vey versatile pack with this. Differents ways to carry it, vertical, horizontal or in the lower part of the pack.

Excellent idea (hump cells).  Carry more to camp, then leave it there, still in a wrapper so it is neat and orderly.

Have a Lost River in bucksuede and an Outfitter in wool.  The wool is ever so slightly quieter than the bucksuede; or maybe I just imagine it to be.  The bucksuede offers better weather resistance over the wool.  Both materials wear nicely.  Have used my wool outfitter more just because it's smaller.  You'd hardly know it's been used.    Pick either one and go with it.

I'd be curious as to why the need for the Lemhi.  My Lost River holds more than I'll need for daytrips.

Best of luck in your search.  You won't regret getting a Bison Gear pack!
