Strings are cheap, get a Dacron and try it, you'll never know until you do. If your worried about speed you shouldn't be shooting that curve. Sounds like your not, you'll get lots of advice here, some good, some not so much, you'll just have to sift through it and decide for yourself.
Go back and look at the picture of Ron W., that old codger has been shooting a bow longer than most of these guys have lived. When someone like that gives you some advice you can take it to the bank.

I let the bow decide which string it wants.

I shoot both strings, the one that is quietest and shoots smoothest gets to stay on the bow.

For the record, the reason I use and recommend HMPE ("fast flight" type) strings is NOT to pick up a couple of fps.  I'd use them if they were slower due to the other benefits:  reduced stretch, reduced creep, increased durability, better stability, better consistency, and often quieter (if done right).

I usually adjust the string silencers in at 1/4" intervals untl it starts to get loud again then back out at 1/8" intervals until I get "the Spot".

I have yet to find a bow that "OLD CODGER" can't make whisper quiet!

Most of the time, i would never knew he shot if I wasnt watching him.

He has shot at least 100 bows since I have known him, All with the same quiet results. Maybe its luck  ;)
