With nearly forty years of traditional archery behind me, I think 2013 will go down as one of the most blessed seasons for us. We were so fortunate to have the opportunity to take some great trophies but it was the high numbers of close encounters that made it so special. I wanted to share our season with everyone but I thought it would be interesting to show a different perspective on our Georgia deer season. I compiled more than 5 hours of video during the season. This footage included more than 60 close encounters (25 yards or less) with deer including 24 bucks. It was difficult to decide what footage to use so I just took a random selection of hunts as the seasons changed. This video is different in that it shows a compilation of critters we decided to simply watch and enjoy rather than take home. The vast majority of this footage was shot on our tradbow club which makes it all the more special because we have worked hard at rebuilding that deer herd. It truly was a season of great bucks seen. I did not use a bow mounted camera this year and it cost me missing out on some great video of some big rutting bucks, a solid black coyote and a bobcat just a few feet away, just to name a few. Anyhow, grab a cup of joe and enjoy this simple traditional journey. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did filming it. Note: It is best watched at 480P.
Happy New Year,
Jerry
