I appreciate all the feedback on the bow. Asking for a little help once more: for those shooting wood shafts, what spine/length works for you? Have a 58", 45@28 on the way!

Joe- I have often wondered if my bow wasn't a little lighter than the 50# @ 28 it is marked at. I have never measured it on a scale so my answer would be yes if it is actually 50 pounds. They are very smooth great shooting bows. Absolutely dead in the hand and remarkably quiet. If you can shoot the 51# you won't be disappointed. Mine is a 60" bow fyi.

They are very smooth drawing bows but you will feel 5 lbs jump and you will have to work at building up to the weight .

I've shot a 56" and a 58" bow, they are fantastic..... I would agree a 5lb jumb is noticeable, especially if your going shorter in bow length than your used to...

I've got a 58" take down model that's 55# @ 28". I think it does feel lighter than some of my other bows of the same poundage just because it draws so smoothly.

If I could only keep one brand of bow it would probably be my Thunder Sticks.

I have a 56" T-Mag 50#@27". It feels dead on the weight to me. It is my "turkey/blind" bow. Love it, but I also have a 58" centaur 50#@27 and it is my goto bow for everything else. The Centaur is faster and smoother on the draw at the same weight. Just my opinion, of course.

I had a Selway/Centaur for a couple of years too, Fritz. The Mag I'm going for is 58", and I'm guessing it'll be comparable to the 60"
Selway (kind of funny, the Selway was a "Lil Mag").

That was real smooth and easy to draw 45@ 28", just hoping the 58" Mag will feel similar in draw. I'll be finding out soon!

While the topic is up, what spine (especially woodies) are you guys using out of your Mags?

I don't have the feeling that my TS Mag pulls any lighter than marked but I love the bow.

I too think you will feel some difference with the 5# increase but with a couple of weeks shooting you should be fine.

I've been shooting my wife's 44# Whip comfortably, don't expect any problem with the Mag. Usually do shoot 45#, just getting back to normal after an injury, and shooting the 40#er for the last few months.

Have the Mag coming from a fellow TG'er, so I expect it'll all be good.

If the mag draws like a Moab, it will feel lighter in my opp.

I have a mag…I would not say that if feels lighter than marked weight or lighter than other bows of the same draw weight. In my opinion smoothness isn't the mag's strong suit. It's a good bow in other regards though.

Well the answer is: 55-60's, around 28 1/2, 125 or 145 points.
Yes, it does feel easier to draw than it's 45#. It is the most dead in the hand bow I've shot so far. And it points like a dream.

58", 45@28, and it feels smoother than my wife's 62" 44# Whip.
grip doesn't look quite as sexy as my Javaman did, but fits my hand just as well.

Couldn't be more pleased with this used Mag from our classifieds.

I shoot 60-65's. They are heavy ash shafts with a 200 grain Ace Super Express broadhead on them. The arrows are 29 1/2" BOP and my bow pulls 55# @ 28". Total arrow weight is around 750 grains.

Darren, that's interesting. puts your dynamic spine lower than the bow's weight. Just goes to show once again that different things work for different folks.
