I'm thinking of a 2008 or maybe 2009 trip.  I'd prefer ontario because I would like to drive rather than figure out how to ship meat back if I'm fortunate enough to take a moose.
Any suggestions?

sar,

Have a talk with Jim Godden (Mississippi Lake Long bow) As he lives in Ontario, he would probably know of a good outfitter/guide to talk to.

"Big Dog" is another fellow you could talk to.

actually, we are Do-it-you-selfers.... I would contact huntit or Harl, both of them go thru outfitters, they could help you out.

I second Cary on this.

Actually I have only used an outfitter once. That was last year and I would not recommend that one. This year we are renting a cabin from a fella that guides bear and he is a bowhunter that is going to show us a couple of lakes to try.Since 1978 I have always been a do it your self kind of guy.
Dave (Huntit)I think is the fella to talk to.

SAR,
I have hunted with a guy named Bob Bearman in Nipigon, Ontario numerous times. I have hunted with several outfitters over the years and I must say that Bob is the very best woodsman I have ever seen. Bar none!
He gets 4 archery tags each year and takes about three hunters in a primo unit. Last year he was two for three with traditional guys. I was the "three" just because I was looking to better previous bulls.
Give him a call and just talk to him. He has moose hunters in right now so he may not call back until night time. 807-887-3801.

Sar, in one week I will be in BC with Michael Schneider of United Guide and Outfitter who is a sponser here and is the same person as Harl posted.  Give me a pm in about 3 weeks and I will fill you in.
