Special Quiver
« on: January 02, 2014, 11:41:00 PM »
A few years ago Karen Campbell hand made a basket back quiver for the St.Judes auction. I did my best to win it and even competed with a well known Tradganger through one of his minions   :saywhat:  . Well when it was all over both of us were out bid. Karen knew I wanted that quiver and said she would make me another some day. Doug told me not to hold my breath because Karen has only made a few of them and they dont get made often.
During one of our phone calls Karen asked me what colors I would like for the quiver and hope was once again rekindled. About a year later while hunting with Doug in Montana Karen showed me the material for the quiver and told me it would'nt be long now... Doug just smiled. Well just before Christmas I recived a box from Montana. Inside was my back quiver and it was absolutely gorgeous. Buffalo hide around the top , with feathers from one of Doug's turkeys and antler tips. The colors black , grey and red match my 55lb Dale Dye to a tee. Honored to have it and I will hunt with it this coming October. (Nice weather only). Karen is extremly talented making baskets and the workman ship is truley flawless.
Maybe if you guys put some pressure on her she will make another one for an upcoming St.Judes auction.

I agree with tracker12, you should make up some special arrows to match up with that beautiful quiver. She did a fantastic job.

Awesome quiver Mike. Are you really going to wait until November?  The weather is pretty nice in TX in February.
