Crazy coyote.
« on: January 06, 2014, 12:58:00 AM »
Made a few stands this morning with no takers . At about  1:00  had a hard charger come in and killed my decoy. Had my fox in its mouth shaking it to death.  Was able to make a shot on it while it was killing my fox. Fox is on the left, dancing rat is in middle, Foxes tail is on the right. The coyote fell a few yards behind the rat.

Young female in bad shape, must of been pretty hungry.

This is how I had the decoys set up. Maybe 15 yards in front of my hiding spot.

First kill with the new bow.

TD,
Great job as usual...Lord, you've got some ugly ones that need killin!  I was thinking about rigging up something with a squirrel tail.  Do I need to be able to "twitch" it with a lead of fishing line or will the breeze provide enough movement to attract(distract)?  Would a turkey feather be better?

Way to go Tim!

I'm curious, how far from your truck do you normally walk before you call...?

great set up ... how do you like the new bow so far ? Looks like a Timber Ghost. I just drove through your neck of the woods on my way to AZ and thought about some of your stories while driving past all those groves of nut trees.

TD,

I love to hear your stories and see your pics.  I did some calling tonight, but in northern MO it was freezing!  No takers.
