Hello, everyone
« on: September 13, 2007, 08:02:00 PM »
My name's Ghost, and I'm fairly new to this site.  It seems there are alot of knowledgeable bowyers here, so I should feel right at home.  I'm new to the bowbuilding hobby, and have yet to buy any equipment to get started.  I've done tons of research at this site, and a few others.  Since bowbuilding and archery (and hunting) goes hand in hand, I'll be learning everything I can about these three subjects.  Youse guys got a brand new traditionalphile here, so I hope youse can teach me the proper way to do things.  I look forward to picking youse guys' brains as much as I can, so be patient.  Thanks in advance to everyone.

Welcome, Ghost.  I built my first lam bow this summer and I'm hunting with it this fall.  Bad thing about building your own bow is you don't care about shooting the custom bows you've already bought.  2 ChekMates, an Earth Archery bow, plus an old Bear are pretty lonely.  Do a search for "el cheapo" to see a build-along and the follow-up threads.  Cheers.
