Hi we have a large covey of Quail that live in the neighborhood.  I get a shot at them from time to time.  I  hide behind our hot tube on our second story deck and get a 25+ yard shot.  So far this year I am 0 for 14 shots....   :banghead:
Joe
PS In the last 3 big game seasons tho, I'm 8 animals with only 9 shots.. mule deer,  white tail and an elk...

That's about my score with yard rabbits until the dumb one made a mistake.  Now I only get 30 yds shots at the smart one and lately it's been a running shot.

Make'em wear little hats with antlers on them so you can focus better.

Try hiding IN the hot tub.  It will make the misses more... relaxing...  ;-)

That's awesome!!   :biglaugh:
Pretty cool that you have quail to shoot at too.  We have rabbits in places up here but no small game birds near by.

Feel fortunate you can shoot in your 'hood.  If I did that I'd have the s.w.a.t. team arriving shortly after my first shot.  I gotta move...

Ya know, I've noticed that "small game" is much flightier (is that really a word??) than big game.  Smaller critters have to watch out for attacks from air and land (hawks/owls and fox/coyotes).  I've had best luck shooting up (me on the ground, them in a tree), as opposed to shooting down (from tree stands) or on the level (when we're both on the ground).

Well it seems obvious...  You need to move the hot tub closer.

Tim  I think you are right.   :knothead:   I need to move the hot tube... but then I'd have to move  the whole house...  I'll get on it tomorrow...
