arrow weight
« on: September 13, 2007, 10:17:00 PM »
I am shooting a chek-mate recurve 56# at 28". This is the first year that I feel confident enough to hunt whitetails with it. I have been practicing shooting the recurve for a couple years. I am currently shooting beman mfx classics 400 with a 100gr head. Total arrow weight is about 450. I am thinking of adding weight to get to around 500gr. for hunting. My arrows are flying good, what is the best way to get to 500gr? I am thinking of using a 140gr. magnus 2 blade screw in..is this a good option? I would really appreciate some suggestions on where to start.
