Snow not starting until afternoon. Snow on ground now is powder.
Great job MIke! How bad bad did you have to torture Ron? I have a place or two we can hit that I haven't been to since High school. Usually hold deer in winter.
Saw 8 deer laying out in the open oak flat this morning around 06:50, of course each deer facing a different direction in order to see everything around them.
Still seems like only 10 guys....    :dunno:

Just had breakfast with the guys and they're off.     It's cold but they have the warmest day in the last two weeks. Mikey has a handful of pictures (maps) with circles and arrows on the front and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining the strategy for each. They've got a thoroughly rehearsed plan as to precisely who's to go where and when and how each deer will meet its immanent demise. (any attempt to avoid/evade will obviously be futile).   ;)

Now we just wait for the report...

What a great day to be out in the Jersey Woods! It was a pleasure meeting and hunting with The Young Hungarians! Great to meet 2 Guy's as passionate as yourself about hunting! The best was  that we actually pushed deer on the drives. On the 2nd drive I pushed a Buck and doe to Jerry Jeffer. Limb deflection negated the shot. It happens. Best drive of the day was the hardwoods to cornfield push. I went in started up the ridge. I had a set of fresh Buck tracks [huge prints] going into an overgrown weed field. SMART went opposite way of the other does. Kept going following 3 fresh tracks, These deer had a snowball effect. Mike  Bamboo and I ended pushing out 9 doe to the standers. Zolton, one of The Young Hungarians had a shot. Too bad he hit a tree with his arrow. Great day to be out! This time of year you have to put drives on to get these deer moving. They lived threw all the seasons. Very smart! Any unnatural sounds and their gone. Car doors, climbing stands going up and their in the next County! An enjoyable day all around with great friends! Only thing that could have made it better was if Joe Skipp, BUCKY and Recurve50Lbs would have been there too.

Fantastic day! Compared to the weather we have been having lately it felt like I was on a tropical vacation. Thanks to Tom, Mike, and Scott for sharing there extensive knowledge of the areas they hunt. I couldn't ask for a better way to end my season.

Thanks again Tom, Mike, and Scott. Your intimate knowledge of those places really helped us out. That had to be the best winter bow drives ever. I think everyone of us actually saw deer, and getting a 15 yard shot was great! Too bad for my arrow getting deflected, but it was an exciting day. I'm still riding the high.

The Buck would have been standing in the bottom right of this pic just beyond the stone row. So, you can see all the brush I had to deal with.

Vaughn, Mikey, and Jerry it was my pleasure. Transcending into Sussex Co. to Transverse the hardwoods, pines and thickets carrying a Traditional bow with my Traditional Archery Buds is pure pleasure in my book.    :wavey:    We had a great group that performed like a well oiled machine. We will hone our drive methods to further enhance our ability of success.     :goldtooth:
