It's hard to tell, it's relatively open around me so it's waist deep in some spots and calf deep in others. More than enough to call it a real winter...lol.
I wish I could come up with a better place for that bale, but it has to go where half the snow from the driveways gets piled. As you know, a tractor and a loader can make short work of a job like that.

Looks like its time to build an enclosure AKA a shooting barn. All that snow has to do a number on your eyes when shooting, so much white. Do you get headaches from it

I can shoot in my pole barn or in my house (only 8yrds), but there's nothing like being out under the sky. Unfortunately it's going down to -20deg. F. again so it's back in the house I go.

Carfeful shooting into that bale . If there is a lot of moisture from the early wet stuff it could be like shooting into an ice block! Could be hard on your arrows. I made that mistake last year. This year I've been keeping it covered with a tarp.
I'm a couple hrs. North of you I keep snow blowing a trail to my bale but either don't have time or its to dark or too cold.
Sometimes I question why I live here. Those southern boys get to shoot outside year round with not much more, than a sweatshirt. I don't even feel like bunny hunting this year the snow is too deep to be trudging through. Ahhhh whataya gonna do?

All fine with the bale fingers. I sometimes get a little skim of frozen material on the surface but it doesn't affect the arrows. Makes getting the wrap off kind of a pain though when I put one in for the horses.

It's getting a little old around here. Too many days below zero. It hurts to look at that pic.

Looks familar! My targets a little smaller, and lost a new arrow in the snow drift. Offered my son a dollar if he finds it. Needle in a haystack! Have to wait for spring.
