Morrison Shawnee is a great bow, but the Hummingbird 3 piece longbow has more mass and very forgiving bow to shoot. Both are great, but the Hummingbird looks sexier and seems to be a bit more forgiving. One opinion, Thanks, Roy
Maybe it is time to shoot what I have on the rack

In no specific order: RER, Bob Lee [some in stock] and my favorite Lewis Hollow. Unfortunately it looks like Chris from Lewis Hollow] is no longer in the business.

My findings are the same as Ron's. If you are looking for a smooth transition that means to me #1 Grip and #2 Cast or speed similar to most recurves to longbows from same bowyer. The Zipper longbows are fantastic and don't lose a beat to the recurve limbs. They have four take down riser options and one one piece option with LB limbs.

LX from RER. Recurve riser with pretty extreme r/d limbs. Very smooth, stable, quiet and the performance of a recurve.

Hummingbird. Longbow like riser/grip. Same qualities as the LX I mention above.

Horne Combo Hunter. This longbow impresses me every time I shoot it. D-shape when strung, small longbow style riser/grip. Same qualities as the two above.

With practically zero transition for your use; I would say the RER LX is your choice. You will however notice a rather large difference in the quietness of it vs your recurves.

Sasquatch, Eaglewing top or belly mount, Either will give you a custom recurve grip and a bow that will perform with recurve performance. You absolutely will not be complaining about performance with any of these bows. Habu also makes a top performance threepiece . I have heard great things about the Zipper too but have never personally shot one. Morrison Bows has built a high performance three piece for years and AHS and many others listed here have long had great reputations for excellence in performance. Looks like you have simply shot some duds because there are a lot of really great bows that meet what you are asking for.

God bless, Steve

Legends bows out of California, their cyclone will out perform a lot of recurves!

I haven't shot any of Kirk's bows but looking at them and the reviews of people who have shot them or own them I would definately say to give one of his takedown's a try. The other bows that come to mind are ACS and a tomahawk legacy series.

I've shot the ACS a few years ago and didn't care for it. I've shot the RER and loved it.

If you are a Silvertip recurve guy, their longbow is a piece of cake to move to.  I can shoot it as well as my recurves.

I've owned two hummingbird three piece longbows and I would say that their performance is equal to a lot of the recurves out there. They are also not hard on your eyes. I would still own them had I not fallen in love with the hill style bows. God bless, Scott.

ACS, Tree Stick by Acadian Woods are my two favorites for recurve like qualities. Also South Cox's Stalker LB, great shooter and really accurate.

In agreement with RER LX.  Great performance, quality and reasonable price for TD longbow.

Fedora's 3 pc longbow is a shooter. Will custom build your grip and I love the thumb rests on his bows.
