Anybody using a hip quiver these days?

Just wondering.  I really haven't noticed guys using them for hunting much lately.  Those of you who do, how are they working out for you?  Pros? Cons?

All I've ever used elk hunting, but have learned to like bow quivers for treestand hunting. Me and my wife both use an Alpine Soft Lok on a leather adapter. Easy to take off when taking  a break or doing a calling setup, goes through the brush awesomely! I might try the bow quiver though next elk season, last year I took my quiver off on one setup and I had to move to get a shot and I had taken my quiver off to lower my outline and didn't have a second arrow with me, bit me in the arse!

Absorkee Quiver by Farr West Leather. Decided to go with it after reading the review by Mark Baker.
Very simple setup. Could not be more pleased.

Will add one of the tube quivers if I start hunting out of a stand in the future.

20 something year old nameless side quiver is what I ended up liking the most. Back quiver snagged everything I crawled under and I don't like extras on my bow.

That's all I use. I've tried a bunch of quivers but the hip quiver is the best I've had or hunting, 3d , stumping, and everything in between

Pretty cool.  I was thinking of getting one for ground hunting. I really haven't seen them in hero pictures lately.  I know Gene Wensel uses one on a strap.

The cons vary according to how you are trying to use them...I put up with the cons because I do not like anything extra on a bow...if I want more weight I shoot one of my higher mass bows...if I want to shoot one of my lower mass bows I put more effort into ensuring my form is solid

I really love my hip quiver for 3D ....
 but..... i just gotta have my arrows on my bow while hunting. I can't tell you how many times i've used it to break up my outline peeking through my arrows at an elk or deer inside of 20-30 yards.

Three D and bunnies.  Use side quiver when using broadheads and I like putting it on my back when in tight places

The Absorkee Quiver come in 3 models, the Absorkee, and Wanderer shown, the Emigrant is just like the Absorkee, with a dedicated pocket outside the hood for a judo point.

I use bow quivers on my recurves and hip quivers with my longbows. I love them. Never been able to get the hang of a back quiver plus they are noisy, at least they are for me. Just bought and Absorkee off of the classifieds and I am really looking forward to trying it out when it gets here.

I prefer a bow quiver while hunting in the mountains but use an Absorkee when treestand hunting.  Used to use Mark Baker's Quiver Caddy, which was the predecessor to the Absorkee, but I really like Tim's craftsmanship, it's top notch.  This is the most recent picture of mine.

I use an old Selway works great with my pack, also use a bow quiver.

I attached a kwickee quiver bracket to a piece of leather that I cut slots into so I could slide my belt thru them and then just clipped the quiver onto the bracket.  I get to my stand I just unclip the quiver and hang it up or lay it on the ground.

Didn't like the quiver  on my bow so now its on  my hip with no extra cost.
