Sky "Longhorn's" are made by Jim Belcher who purchased all of Jeff Massie's equipment when Jeff retired from the bow building business. Jim eventually purchased and now runs Sky Archery. I did not realize he was now making "Longhorns" under the Sky name. I have owned one of his "Longhorns" and still have a Belcher "Union Jack" English style LB which I really like. Buy with confidence.

Thanks Bill for your input. I bought a Black Widow PMA-V 62in50# in 2012. Its a great bow but I just got back in trad archery at that same time. I love a longbow and am trying to make my mind up on which longbow to buy. Just trying to make my mind up.

I met Jim Belcher at the Texas State Longbow shoot several years ago.  We talked about the longhorn and he and Jeff Massie designed the bow together and Jeff ran with it until he quit building.

He is an exceptionally knowledgeable bowyer.  Jim has been building the longhorns for several years.  It is a very smooth drawing design and forgiving to shoot.  Don't shoot dacron on it if you get one, they shoot FF materials.

Here is Jim's site. I have one of his TD Longhorns. Great bows.

I know his Union Jack is a great bow.
