Trip To Leon Stewart's
« on: January 30, 2014, 07:37:00 PM »
Ordered a longbow from Leon Stewart and the call came not too long ago that it was ready for pick up. Scheduled a day off work and rode up with my great friends Mike and Sue Shaw.

Leon's workshop.....don't let the size fool you.

A well organized shop for sure. Super cool to see other's bows in various stages of completion. Some REALLY nice ones!

Hung around with Leon for a while talking about all sorts of things. Really a fun time on a Monday morning. Followed Leon into his house and he handed me my bow. It never ceases to amaze me the craftsmanship that he puts into every one of his bows and this one was no exception.

Happy new owner along with it's master builder.

Few pics of the bow:

Having had the good fortune to deal with Leon a few times I can say each one of our interactions has been outstanding.....and a fellow lefty to boot! One of the best people that I've crossed paths with and as a TG Sponsor it's hard to go wrong.

Thanks Leon!!

Best of luck with it.

That bow is a bit mesmerizing to me. What a beautiful strung profile. I love that grip and the shelf is (unlike some say) definitely on the RIGHT side.
How about the model, specs and woods? Love the limb veneers.

Leon is THE man.  My favorite bowyer other than Jim Neaves.  Always a pleasure to deal with.  My 2nd Stewart should be ready soon and he just finished my brothers.
