Tell me about your Timberghost
« on: January 31, 2014, 11:09:00 PM »
I'm waiting for a Timberghost to get here... Made a trade for it this morning.  It is a 56" hybrid, 56# @ 28" or low 60# at my draw, 2 lams of carbon in the limbs... I've read Curt's review and truthfully that is why I needed to try one of these for myself.

If you have any experience with these, jump in and share...  I want to hear it...  Good or bad... My draw is right at 30"...

Jeff,
I have a TimberGhost 56 inch Hybrid, and a 52 inch Static tip. They are great bows, that draw smooth, shoot fast and hit where I look. I love the grip and the shortness of the bows. I recommend a string change to an ultracam string, but that is just a personal preference. Kent builds a great Bow. Be sure to let us know what you think about yours when you get it.

Thanks for the reviews!  How do the 52" statics do with a longer draw?  Or would I need to go to 54"?  I'm thinking about a second set of triple carbon 70# limbs at my draw already...

I got a chance to visit with Kent yesterday and shoot a couple of his bows and let me start off by saying I dont believe you will meet a nicer guy.
Now on to the bows, I was able to try both his one piece, and takedown models and they are both amazing bows. They are smooth, fast, have no hand shock and are very quiet, but what sold me was the amazing grip on these bows my hand just melted to the bow as if the grip had been custom made for me.
I would recommend Kent's bows to anybody looking for a high quality custom bow

Thanks jt, good meeting you yesterday. Here's some bows I've got in the shop about ready for finish. Hubi's Ziricote bow, a phenolic/coco and a phenolic actionwood. Ziricote has some cool grain.

Kents bows are some kind of nice! Beautifully crafted and they shoot with top shelf performance.  My 54" handles and feels like its 58".

Thanks guys. I'm running a little behind, working hard to get caught up. Got (3) more blocks glued up, one is yours Glen. Pierre I've got to get a couple strings from you for Hubi's bow, I'll try to get them ordered tonight. Got the ebony for your riser and will get it glued up this week as well.

I got on the list a while ago but was impatient and jumped on the Timberghost Jed had up. That Zircote looks great. Looking forward to the review from Jeff and I will add my comments after I have run the bow thru the paces.

I'm also on Kent's list.  Should be Christmas in July for me.      :)    I'm liking the flare Kent.  We might have to talk about that in mine.
