Lefties R Us + Big Jim + new user introduction
« on: February 03, 2014, 04:03:00 PM »
Hello all!
I have been checking out tradgang for quite some time now. I am amazed at how much excellent information is available here. I have been chasing whitetails around Ohio for about 15 years now. I started at age 10 with a crossbow, then moved on to a compound at about age 16. My dad used to hunt with a recurve before my time, and when I was growing up I used to shoot his Ben Pearson hunter in the yard (even tho I'm a leftie and he's a wrongie!) I always enjoyed the simplicity, so this year I decided to give up the training wheels and go traditional.

Sorry for the long winded introduction...on to my next point. I've realized that trad gang has some wonderful sponsors. I've been eyeing a Bob Lee Hunter Signature on Barry's site, and last week I decided to pull the trigger. I had a short phone conversation with Barry, and man, what a nice guy! I couldn't have asked for better customer service. I just got my new baby in the mail today, and it shoots like a dream!

For my new Bob Lee I ordered a quiver from big Jim, which I also received today. I really like this quiver. I think it is much nicer than the selway I have on my other bow, and for a better price.

Anyways, I know I'm getting a little long winded here, but just wanted to say thanks to Barry and Jim! And most of all thanks to everyone here for all the wonderful information!

Cory,
That was my bow once upon a time.  She is a sweetheart.   It is the smoothest drawing short recurve I've ever shot.
Welcome aboard!

Welcome.

Thanks for the introduction. As an eleven year veteran of Tradgang, the one thing that's a no brainer for me is to search out Tradgang sponsors for products first for any products I need. It's good business and you'll generally see reviews on their products if you do a search on the Pow Wow threads or product review forums.

Again, welcome to Tradgang as a poster.

Thanks for the welcomes! I have looked through a lot of the sponsor sites and have seen quite a few things I would like to own. I have a feeling the tradgang sponsors might be hard on my wallet...lol

Cory,
This is so great to hear.  I felt strongly that you would be very pleased with her.  Hope to see some Lefty hero shots soon.  Take care and thanks for doing business with us!   :archer2:

Welcome...it is quite advantageous to select the closet seat to campfire this time of year.
