Actionboo + veneer vs Actionwood Recurve limbs
« on: February 04, 2014, 02:35:00 PM »
Hi Team,

Any experience with the two? Actionboo and a veneer vs actionwood crossgrain in a recurve limb as far as longevity , feel and performance?

Thanks!

Actionboo is actionwood made out of bamboo.  Most so called actionwoods are birch or maple.  Regardless, they're about the same thing in terms of construction. Bamboo is physically lighter and, IMO, a bit springier, so it's my bow "wood" of choice.  Not a lot of difference among them though.
