I had tremendous luck early last spring into summer with it but the action DIED later on! Don't know why even though the bucks were still around for awhile till early bow season when they was poached. I know they was around because I'd seen them and had pics on actual trail setups that were checked as frequent as the wick ropes?

Thanks again for sharing this with everyone Gene!
I cut a small green branch about the diameter of an arrow shaft and attached it with small zip ties along the side of each Wick. Definitely gives it some rigidity which they seem to like better.

I put one out a few years ago and was amazed by the number of bucks that visited! I had around 500 pics of deer in the first month, and probably 80% were bucks. This was on the family farm in Kansas. I tried it here in Texas and didn’t really get any decent response. I put out a couple of them again this year on the farm, hoping to get some pics later this week.

I have been doing this since reading the article . I don't use rope just a small string like parachute cord or something similar. Just dunk the string in the bottle is all u need. Little bottle lasts the whole season .. Just saw my buddy after helping him get set up , and he was blown away.

Bdann I have found that some places every deer that comes by is going to hit it . And then other spots they won't even look at it. Not sure the reasons.
