I had a good friend tag out Saturday. They changed the rules this year. Only 2 bucks. He killed an 8 and a 9 about 30 min. apart out of the same stand. The best thing is they were both with the long bow... I will post the pictures shortly..... Hunting with trad gear is alive and well here in NC.

Here are the pictures. Both were killed with the longbow the same evening. We have a group of guys that pretty much switched from wheels to traditional equipment. We have all been shooting a lot for the past year or two. I was as happy as anything to see this happen! I know these deer are not big compared to other parts of the county, but they are really good deer for NC. We did not get a picture of David with both deer because he had to go to work. Me and another club member got the deer up and back to the cooler. I was more jacked up than David! I love hunting with traditional gear! Congratulations David! You are the man!

This could not have happend to a nicer guy. He has 2 young boys that are just starting to bow hunt this year. This is going to give him plenty of time to mentor them from the stand.
