This is my first post here.  Have been lurking and reading for a while but have never posted.  Have been a compound shooter for the last 22 years and have had pretty good success. Decided last year to switch to traditional for hunting.  I wanted to get back to why I started bow hunting in the first place and make it more about the hunt again rather than about the size of the deer I get. I wasn't confident enough last fall to hunt with my traditional bow but have been shooting a lot this winter and am feeling more and more confident all the time.  Should be good to go this fall after practising all summer and shooting a few 3D's.  I received a new bow today.  I bought a new Cari-Bow wolverine.  The bow is a thing of beauty, I am afraid that buying these traditional bows may become addicting. Here are a few photos of it.

Awsome and yeah, you got some good photo skills! It is addictive, but it's just like the stock market, buy low and sell high! To do that you have to watch for the deals on the classifieds on here and elsewhere, it's sure fun to do and not near as expensive as the wheelie bow thing, no rests sights or releases to worry about setting up a bow. I've been at it for about 4 years now, I've hunted with a different bow each season, this year, I hunted with 2 different bows. I'm narrowing down on the perfect bow, might be there, but that sounds boring so we will see how it goes.

Your Cari-bow is beautiful, very nice looking recurve too!  I also have to mention that's an unbelievable set of sheds...

Shooting traditional is more than fun, it starts to run through your veins a bit.  I doubt you'll ever look back.

WOW,That is one beautiful bow! Have you actually had a visual on dude that shed that rack, awesome! Thanks for sharing, you are very fortunate to live where you do and have all the hunting opportunities. I have bear hunted up in the carrot river area with Gordy Simpson, beautiful place and full of critters! Good hunting with your new bow and welcome to the brotherhood.

Dad has that guy mounted on his wall.  Got him the year after the sheds.

Thanks for the welcome guys.  I hope I can learn a lot here.  Learning to shoot traditional is almost like starting archery all over again.

Steve, I actually live in Swift. The mule deer hunting around here is second to nowhere else, as you would likely know.
