ISLA MONA! Potential sponsored trip!
« on: February 14, 2014, 09:55:00 AM »
All: Steve Hohensee, Rick McGowan, Karen Campbell, and I are putting together a new Isla Mona trip, and we MAY have a spot for one or two hunters. In particular, we may have a spot for a hunter who is spanish speaking and of hispanic (particularly Puerto Rican) background, who might be sponsored by a group we are speaking with. Know someone interested? Let us know. Thanks!! - Jay Campbell

Am I too old to learn? I can already say dos cervezas!
That will be quite an adventure!

We tried to pry Jose' out from underneith his shell but he just won't come out.  The potential person we are searching for would not just speak Spanish but also would be tuned into PR customs and have the local knowledge that probably only someone who actually lived in Puerto Rico would possess.  Jose' was from the Dominican Republic and that worked well for us too.

Thanks, Steve! We will keep everyone up to date as information comes in! We (Karen Campbell, Steve Hohensee, Rick McGowan and I) are not in charge of deciding who goes. We can't speak about it yet, but there is a group interested in sponsoring the trip who will make those decisions. We're just trying to get a list of potential passionate participants! :-) - Jay

Jay, does this guy need to be a hunter?  Ive got a friend from PR who works for u.s.f.w. who would probably be everything youre looking for, but he isnt a hunter.

I mastered Spanish in one day: cerveza, tequila, senorita, por favor. What else do you need to know?
