Love this Leather Grip....pics
« on: February 15, 2014, 03:08:00 PM »
I needed a leather grip for my Kempf Longbow. Not sure what I wanted until my hunting buddy and bowyer Bamboo showed his grips.

Vegetable tanned Goat leather. Mike said he had some embossed leather left, so I dropped off the bow. To me this grip is perfect. He "rolled" the bottom portion and slightly rolled the top(to prevent me from getting my pointer finger sliced).

The leather also fit nicely over the small thumb ledge I had Jack build in the grip. Positive, no hand slipping placement every time. Thought I would share a few pics...

If you think Bamboo's grips are nice, you should shoot his 450+ strings. I'm having Mikey make up one for my Fedora and one for this Kempf. I really like that flo orange look. Before my spring bear hunt, just might have him build one for the Kempf Steatlh.
