Are your fletched shafts flying straight and going where you want them? If so, why bother tinkering farther.
I shoot 60-65# and heavier woodies (11/32 cedar) tipped with 125 grain heads out of 50# (@28,my draw length) Robertson Primal Styks with good results. Robertson longbows are cut about 1/8-inch proud of center. The side plate leather can sometimes be a little thick, so you might try a thinner piece. Those shafts should shoot well for you though, even with a lot less weight up front.
