« on: September 16, 2007, 11:05:00 PM »
Well Steve (jacobsladder) and I were going to Leota to take the nephews out for the opener and check out the  deer sign. They all did some shooting, tellin tall tales, and finding out how fun the great outdoors is,,

Some pics of our weekend,,

Then on sunday I was taking a nap before camp break down and they started to mess around a bit,,LOL,,with me of course.

Drew, Steve and I left them to build a leantoo shelter and in about an hour or so and they had it finished. Forgot to take a pic of it but it was in great shape,,They slept in it till the fire was out then in my bronco they took shelter,,LOL,,We all had a great time with them and I hope tp keep doing it for many more years,,Jason B.

Looks like I missed some fun on Sunday...but I stayed warm!

The boys did a great job on their shelter, did they get all that pine sap off their hands?   :D

You forgot to mention we're going be famous thanks to a bear hunter   :biglaugh:  I wonder if that trail cam took video?

I'll post a pic of Jacobsladder doing his best squirrel "call" tonight.

Jason,
Looks like a good time was had.  Give me a heads up when you are heading this way.  I haven't been to Stanton office in a while (had some personell changes here and have been stuck in the office).  I have football on Saturday mornings, but am pretty freed up for the afternoon or Sundays. Nice pics, and hope to hear from you soon.

Sounds like you guys had a great time! Taking kids out and watching them have fun is what it is all about... only took me 31 years and my own kiddo to figure that one out, LOL! I guess it is because I am still a kid and like to have fun too  :D

I'll second the ear plugs!!  I dont know if you can even classify what Jason does as snoring.  But I know one thing for sure, we definatly wont have to worry about any critters coming within 300 yards of camp after Jason goes to bed!!  :bigsmyl:    :bigsmyl:    :campfire:

hmmm maybe we can clamp his nose almost closed and get some high pitched rabbit squeals out of him so we can coyote hunt at night!

I guess i need to plan on moving out past the 300 yard mark for the morning hunt..
