Thank you to Bear Archery and Neil Byce
« on: February 17, 2014, 08:13:00 PM »
I want to publicly thank Bear Archery and Neil Byce.

A few weeks ago I spoke with Neil (Operations Manager at Bear Archery)at the Kalamazoo show and relayed to him a problem I was having with a Bear T/D riser I had received.  Neil assured me he was committed to seeing that I receive the perfect riser and bow.  We exchanged emails over the weekend, and Neil asked that I let him know exactly what I wanted in my riser, from shelf location, to grip, to woods.

Today I received a wonderful Bear T/D "A" Riser in the mail from Neil and his team in Gainesville.  It is just perfect!!!  LOW shelf, great grip, wonderful woods.  Just fantastic!

Thank you, Neil.  And thanks to the entire Bear production team.  You have a very happy customer in Michigan.  This is my first Bear T/D, but it won't be my last.

Very, very nice. What are the woods used? Is this sort of a custom approach Bear is doing?

I've been singing his praises for years.
Neil Byce is Bear Archery!
He is the one keeping the torch lit and I cannot say enough good things about him.

Enjoy your Bear take down, it's a beauty!

I'm glad you got the issue resolved quickly.  I am still waiting here for my replacement bow from Bear after sending them my defective bow back in September. I keep getting  promises but that's all. They tell me it's because I am a lefty and they don't make them very often!    :dunno:

Just got my two tone T/d  last week.  Been shooting it last couple of days.  Love the bow!  Beautiful fit and finish.  I got  a 59er last year, love that one too.  I think Neil's doing a great job with the traditional line.

In a strange coincidence, I got the opportunity to handle and shoot this A riser today.  A friend of mine has been searching for a Bear take down for awhile and he told me a couple of weeks back that he had found one for sale on the big auction site and had bought it.  We met at the club to shoot some today and as I was admiring his takedown he told me that he had bought it off of a guy whose seller name is Pokerdaddy. Wow!  I have seen photos and heard of this bow before.

That's a class act. I have it admit I have been unsure about the new Bears but find myself really wanting a takedown and a 59 kodiak retro...... With customer service like that I think Papa Bear would approve  ;)
