IMHO - One of the most overlooked recurves are Bruin Bows by Mike Steliga. I've owned a lot of top end recurves (including BW) and the Bruin Line have always been my favorites. Fast, forgiving and very quiet. Mike builds a really good bow with years of experience.

My two favorite recurves are Blacktail and Kota. There is a significant price difference but both are excellent bows.

My experience has been that a lot of the customs are beautiful, but don't shoot any better than some of the mass-produced stuff. Super Kodiak shoots as well as all, and better than some of the customs I've owned.
