Question about inserts and feathers
« on: February 24, 2014, 02:57:00 PM »
About how much do standard inserts for gold tip traditionals weigh? Also does anyone know about how much your fletching and nocks add to your arrows? Say 3 5" fletching and a standard nock.
Thanks,
Dannon

3x5" = 6 gr.,  nock = 9 gr., insert = 11 gr.

Agree on the feathers and nock.  I get 15-16 grains on the inserts. Not enough difference to worry about in any case.
