I have a Full Rut model and also a Buck model. The Full Rut model has a hard support piece in the belly that could destroy your arrow if you hit it. I've lost 6. I've been through two cores in a year and the body is barely held together still. I'm now shooting at the hind quarters.
Here is a picture of the Buck I received this Christmas. I wrote Glendale and told them that after 20 days, their target didn't last. Here is there response:
Hello,
We appreciate the feedback. Our “5X” advertising is stating that the core offers 5 times more shooting surface area than the competition. That being said, the only area intended to be shot is the core. This is the only portion of the target that is designed to withstand repeated shooting.
The core, once the outer foam starts to chip away, looses all of its integrity. I dont have a current picture of the 5X core but if that is what lasting five times longer than the competition is then the competition must last maybe 1 month. My 5x core is shredded. Their foam is horrible. I will never spend one more penny on their product. Buy a Rinehart. Im switching to the Rinehart Rhinoblock. The target is now in pieces.
