As far as "fanning" out 5 or 6 arrows, I think it defeats the purpose of a hunting quiver by exposing more of your arrows to brush, and visibility. It might be easier to get arrows out, but there is a trade-off.
I don't know why weight is such an issue with folks, these quivers are no heavier than the other type quivers you wear on your back or that you sling across your shoulder. And carrying that weight on your hip is much easier on you than the other methods. Think about it.
I'd rather have a steel frame that is darn near indestructible, than a lightweight aluminum frame that will bend all the time. Again, the weight is not a big thing to me, but the durability is.
If weight is an issue....try the quiver caddy with a kwikee. It's lighter (just a bit), and can be easier to get arrows out of. It's not leather though, and that is what sells to most folks. Nice job, Tim.
