New Quiver from Farr West Leather

This one isn't quite ready for production yet, but it is close enough that I can look for and hopefully get some feed back on!
The newest addition to the Absorkee Quiver Family, the "Short Trail". This quiver features the same quality as our other products, and is built around the time proven Quiver Caddy Bracket, developed by Mark Baker.
The Short Trail, is a scaled down quiver built to hold 4 arrows, and will be offered with some possible options, one of which is it may be offered with an aluminum, or steel frame, it will be offered in a shorter version for youth and a longer one for adults.

I have and use your quiver and would like to know why you can't simply put 5 or 6 arrows flat and straight across. I can't seem to get used to the cattywompus arrow arrangement and feel there is room in the hood.

This is a great new product, Tim.  

As far as "fanning" out 5 or 6 arrows, I think it defeats the purpose of a hunting quiver by exposing more of your arrows to brush, and visibility.   It might be easier to get arrows out, but there is a trade-off.

I don't know why weight is such an issue with folks, these quivers are no heavier than the other type quivers you wear on your back or that you sling across your shoulder.   And carrying that weight on your hip is much easier on you than the other methods.  Think about it.  

I'd rather have a steel frame that is darn near indestructible, than a lightweight aluminum frame that will bend all the time.   Again, the weight is not a big thing to me, but the durability is.

If weight is an issue....try the quiver caddy with a kwikee.  It's lighter (just a bit), and can be easier to get arrows out of.   It's not leather though, and that is what sells to most folks.   Nice job, Tim.

An update for those that are interested in this quiver.  Just ordered the parts to start building the first ones.  Unfortuately the aluminum frame is a little more than half again as much than the steel frame, and I don't think there is going to be enough lost to make it worth the amount of durability that will be lost.  If there is enough interest for it in the future, though, that is an option that we can keep open.  As for the weight diffference between this one and the original Absorkee Quiver, I am not sure, there were a couple of changes made to this one, and until I have all the parts and one built it will be an unknown.

It may not be the perfect quiver for every occasion, but I do believe it would work well for most anyone. It's neat how easy it is to take off and put back on with no buckles, no straps, no hassle.

I have had one of Mark's Quiver Caddy's, great concept but I didn't like using a compound quiver with it. This is MUCH nicer. Two questions. You will make a left hand version, correct? As well what is the anticipated cost? I really want one, you may just well get me to give up my back quiver.
