G. Fred Asbell Shooting Camp
« on: March 04, 2014, 06:11:00 AM »
I just paid to go to a shootin' camp with G. Fred Asbell in about 5 weeks! (A BIG Thanks to Terry and Sheila at The Nocking Point!    )

So, I was wondering who all has been to a class or seminar with Mr. Asbell? Tell me a bout your experience, please!

I know it's going to be a great time and even greater opportunity to learn from a pillar of the Trad community. I'm excited to be learning from someone whom I have admired since first reading his articles in TBM and his books.

So let's hear your stories about your experiences with Mr. Asbell....

You are going to enjoy yourself, that's for sure. My time at the BW GFA clinic improved my shooting a great deal.

Aside from the improved shooting skills, Fred is a pretty neat guy to hang around. I thoroughly enjoy just listening to him tell a story. A great gentleman.

Yeah, I'm honestly not sure whether I'm more excited about the shooting coaching or the campfires after. I guess it's a tie! Lol.

I think he does one at Black Widow (in Missouri) every year, and you can find that on the BW website, and maybe his website.

The one I'm attending is here in Oklahoma and Terry (oklabearclaw is his Tradgang handle) from the Nocking Point put it all together.

You could try to email Mr. Asbell himself and ask about any that he might be doing nearer to you.
