Dear Bowhunter:

Winter weather will finally be letting up soon. Your cabin fever is mounting and turkey season still seems so far away. What is a hardcore bowhunter to do to get a bowhunting fix?

. . . We have the answer . . .

The 2014 Professional Bowhunters Society Biennial Gathering! We personally invite you to join your bowhunting brothers and sisters for this multi-day event at the end of March. This event is guaranteed to get your bowhunting juices flowing and help you start preparing for your adventures afield in the seasons to come.

We hope that you can join us at that Hyatt Regency in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. The day events will be held on Friday March 28th and Saturday, March 29th. The event will be action packed and sure to have something for all bowhunters. Here is some information about just a view of the featured seminars:

• Gene Wensel on the current state of bowhunting
• DIY Alligator hunting in Florida
• Hunting the archery only zones in North Carolina
• Moose hunting with Monty Browning
• Alternatives to Treestands
• Advanced shooting with Mike Fedora
• Blood tracking dogs

These are just a small sampling of the seminars and other activities available. There are also auctions, raffles, bowhunting related vendors, contests (bowyers, arrow crafting, photography), J.D. Chappell’s amazing collection of Grayling-era Bear bows and Fred Bear items, ladies’ events, and much, much more. It is an experience not to be missed.

Friday evening banquet special guest will be Scott Koelzer from Montana and Saturday evening banquet special guest will be Doug Borland from Alaska!

Evening banquets are by pre-registration only.

For more information visit the Professional Bowhunters Society website (http://www.probowsociety.net) or call us at 704-664-2534. You will be glad you came!

Jeanne and I would not miss it and will be there on our way home from the sunny south. If you have never attended one of these you  will be surprised at the amount of knowledge to be gained at these seminars. Being held in centrally located Cincinnati is another plus. We are looking forward to seeing all our friends.

Excellent!  And a big thanks to Homer Ocean Charters for donating a Black Bear/Halibut trip for the auction. They are also giving any hunters that book with the auction winner a $300 discount on their trip.

There are some excellent raffles open to all with our Big 5 Bows and Pack of Dreams packages. I will get the information up on how to purchase tickets if you can't make the Gathering.

Oh, and I plan to be there EARLY!

The "pro" bow contest is going to be STIFF competition...I had to uncase the Rose Oak entry to make sure it made it thru the postal service OK. Heard the will be a pretty fancy Blacktail to beat as well. We have the coolest 2 PC take down St. Joe River bow in the mix among others. More coming I have not seen pro and amateur.
