This place is always so generous.
I would like to thank Curt and Glenbo for getting me a 45#er I could shoot with my teeth, and the gentleman that sent me the tabs off his new boots that were PERFECT for shooting with my teeth during my recovery.
I shot my 1st 10 NORMAL shots just a few moments ago and all seems well. I've already been pulling my 60#er to full draw with no issues, but not releasing. I felt it was time to drop the string today but to be smart and stay light.
The arrows were stiff and threw them left a bit from the red oak leaf I was aiming at, but I was so thrilled at the consistency of the group at 15 yards.
I've got a ways to go, and will see what tomorrow brings as far as any pain issues, but the group I shot today didn't make me feel like "I'm back"....it felt more like "I never left".
I could not be happier. I do have some lighter spined arrows that would probably shoot where I look, I just didn't want to take the time to dig them out as they are in a case somewhere that I didn't feel like fooling with. But I will get them out tomorrow and the red oak leaf will be in real danger
Many thanks again guys for helping me out.
Hope to chase a pig sometime soon.
