Stippling a Black Widow
«

I am new to stippling grips but am wondering if its ok to do a Black Widow grip? My concern is the fiberglass area in the grip. Is there anybody out there that has stippled a Black Widow grip and how has it turned out?

The fiberglass will dull the bit so I'd use one the the glass and a different one for the wood so you don't burn the wood with a dull bit.

Thanks for the input so far. Would anybody happen to have a picture of a Black Widow grip either stippled or checkered?

I will not own a bow that is not checkered. It is the best thing I have ever done to my bows. Very repeatable and no slip with or without gloves. Even in 100 degree heat with 80% humidity.
As far as checkering goes Dave had really good turn around time, and is very good.

Dave....I had the same concerns as you about the checkering. I decided to go for it when I ordered my Tall Tines. I like it so much I'm getting ready to send my PSA off to Dave W to get it done as well. You're welcome to try it out when I get it back. I'm up in Russellville all the time.

Dave has checkered probably 30 risers for me. All come back fantastic. Black Widows, Tips, Caribows, Stalkers, Bighorns, Robertsons, etc...
