I remember you...You were the fella that did the "super glue leather shelf" build along I believe and I actually followed those directions and was amazed by the results on my B.B.O. Dryad longbow(which is a 5 piece now)   :( ...
Anyway that shelf turned out awesome and I thank you for your post in the "How To"...Welcome back and if you weren't that fella well welcome back anywat's...

Hi Keefer, yep that was me. Did we trade a couple pms or emails about that? I remember being asked about it but I'm terrible with names. Glad it worked for you.

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

Yeah I remember you. You are the guy that almost lost your life when you got stuck in the mud at Platte Falls.   :wavey:

Hey Tom!  Good to see you.

From the pictures you have up, it looks like that hat is getting some miles on it.  Always thought it was cool that you could pull that hat off and make it look good.  Not most peoples first choice in headwear but you OWN that one!  My old fedora is seriously overdue for a good cleaning but I've also picked up an Irish "beanie hat".  Don't know what they're called but think early 1900's Irish golfer and you've got it.

Have you guys still been getting together to hunt bunnies or anything else at all?  Sure would like to do another bunny hunt with a couple of beagles.

I've missed you Dave.

Welcome home!

Sorry to hear about your shoulder issues.

I can easily identify with an injury causing us to decrease our activity level and thus gaining weight to the point of making life sort of miserable.

I guess I finally got sick of being sick and tired and decided no matter how much it bothered me I was going to do something to help myself.

About two months ago I started back to riding my indoor recumbent for an hour a day 6 days a week then over the past month I have also added in walking 2 to 3 miles a day.

No tremendous amount of weight lost yet but it is getting there. I have noticed my clothes are fitting better and my belt may need the use of my leather punch before much longer as I've made it from the 3rd hole in to the 7th and last hole.

Good to have you here again.

God bless,Mudd

Howdy Roy,

I think I was looking forward to hearing from you more than just about anybody here.

You still raising the Catahoula's and chasing squirrels?  Maybe I'll make it to MOJAM with the family again this year.  Felt bad about missing the last one or two.  They were the only ones I ever missed completely.  I had some years where I only got to go the first or last day but I always made it.  You should see Lindsey now.  All grown up (19 years old believe it or not) and started college to be a veterinary technician.

Hi Dave,

We never communicated but I remember you and it's great to have a solid down to earth guy like you back.

I know that you'll succeed in getting back in shape. Just take it slow and steady and be careful.

I've got some knee issues too (2 surgeries - no replacement yet)
and my shoulders are not acting up too bad these days but I've also had 2 surgeries there (not rotator cuff).

I guess that we pretty well all used to be in good shape, apparently now the best we can do is to be in good shape for our age, LOL!

Welcome back, and hang in there.
May your next adventure lighten your heart, test your spirit, and nourish your soul.
