A walk in the woods (pics)
« on: March 07, 2014, 06:03:00 PM »
Went for a walk today thought I would shoot some stumps and look for some sheds. Didn't find any sheds but some good deer sign.

A old scrap and licking branch.

A decent rub!

he has 3 of these poles torn up in a row. Hard to see in the picture but all 3 are rub.

and another old scrap.

A bobcat track.

Great photos.  My Daughter and I had a day like that a few weeks ago.  Here she is on snowshoes.

Here's a look at some deer tracks we followed.  It doesn't look it, but their hooves were sinking down almost two feet in the snow, and their bellies were dragging.  Must have been a tough winter for them here.

Nice pictures Tom! Looks like your girl is having fun. Snow like that is hard on deer!

Will do Charlie.  I am new to Wisconsin. I just bought a place.  I work in North Dakota. So my time will be split back and forth.  I am looking forward to being able to shoot some 3d's this summer what part of Wisconsin you from?

Jeremy, you found my arrow! How it ended up in Wisconsin I don't know. Great color combo.
