Working Man's Tall Tines
« on: March 07, 2014, 10:16:00 PM »
This one just came in the mail today from Brian. Nothing fancy as far as Brian's bows go but I'm amazed at how such a simple bow can be so pretty. Wenge and Bocote riser with beautiful chocolate brown glass limbs and Brian's standard medium wrist grip. The grip melts into my hand on this 60" short riser, 50@30. It bare shafts a 31" 3555 Gold Tip Trad, 9.5 grains per pound, with 175 grains up front perfectly. One of Brian's stock bows. I was thinking it would be a good candidate for a nice set of Copperhead skins until I saw it. Just can't cover up that pretty chocolate brown glass. Smooth, fast and dead silent.

Very good looking bow there Yellow Dog. Gotta get my hands on one of those to test fire. He's not too far from me either.

Being the insomniac that I am, I couldn't resist heading over to the indoor range at the club to put a few arrows through it. 60 in a row at 20 yards, 53 out of 60 in a 9" circle. Took a few to get it figured out. The first few were a little low and left. After that it was throwing them in there.

Decent speed too.
