Selfbows In Action
« on: March 11, 2014, 01:46:00 PM »
I'm trying to muster up the courage to start on an Osage stave in the garage and could use some visual encouragement.  ;)

Let's see your selfbows in the field, on the range, or on the hunt!

Thanks!

I've heard it said that Christianity is a crutch.  To me, it's a walking stick to use on the path of life.

My advice is to watch every video you can find on Utube about bow making, grab your tools an have at it.

I have been teaching bow making for years, the number one thing that prevents most people from completing a bow; fear of failure. Bottom line; just do it, if you mess up, get another stave and start over, no big deal.

Thanks Eric. I think I fit that category. I hate to fail at anything. Maybe I can use that to my advantage!

We live in the present, we dream of the future, but we learn eternal truths from the past
When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.
Life is like a wet sponge, you gotta squeeze it until you get every drop it has to offer
