From this nice piece of cocobolo:

And this nice piece of koa:

Dave and Beth Windauer at Schafer Silvertip Bows made me this:

It's a 60" one-piece recurve, 51#@29". Sheep horn overlays on the back of the riser and the limb tips:

All the good things people write about dealing with Beth and Dave sure turned out to be true for me. It was an absolutely wonderful experience.

And if all of that wasn't cool enough, there's enough of both woods left to make a matching take-down...
