Wow. Did Dave provide the woods or did you buy from another source? Great combination.

I found my own wood and sent it to Dave.  I did it to add to the experience, it was a bit like a treasure hunt looking at the wood suppliers sites and the auction site.  I don't think what I came up with is really any nicer than what they would have supplied, but I got to pick it out and that was fun.  I was also able to find big enough pieces to make a matching one-piece and TD set.

Beth sent me   lots of photos and talked to me quite a bit about wood combinations.  She's really the one that sparked my interest in the koa limbs, I'd not really thought of them before.  Beth went above and beyond helping me figure out what I wanted and wasn't afraid to offer an opinion when asked.

I was originally going to go with maccasar ebony in the riser but no matter where I looked I could only find relatively plain wood without a lot of figure, at least in the thickness needed.  Most of the macassar I found was 1" thick or less.  Good cocobolo in the thickness needed wasn't real common either but there was enough around that I could find something nice and had some options.  Cocobolo was my close second choice anyway so that's what I went with.

Tod,
How do Dave and Beth work with you when you are purchasing/supplying the wood.  Do they have some standard amount they deduct from the overall cost of the bow.

You would have to talk to them Burnsie, I don't remember the details.

I think the final cost of my transaction with Schafer Silvertip Bows was about what it would have been if they supplied the wood.  The cost of the wood that I supplied was above and beyond the cost of the bow though so overall my supplying the wood made for a more expensive project even though what I paid Dave and Beth was about the same.
