When does your season start?
« on: March 16, 2014, 10:05:00 PM »
Turkey season that is. After seeing Spurs bird this early in the year it had me wondering about other states. Start/end, how long do you have.

Kansas: April 1--March 31

Like many on here my season never really ends.
It just takes a break for a short time here and there.
bowfishing april thru sept.
turkey in april/may (not every year for me but most years).
usually a pig hunt down south in the late summer.
small game sept- march
deer oct-jan
This year should pull a bear tag for sept.
usually a late winter hog or Javalina hunt in feb.

So there is something to hunt most of the year. Just a couple weeks off here and there

I tell my buddies in Kansas they have Chickens, not turkeys.  So David, you have Kansas Chickens:)  LOL!  Come to PA and hunt a real Eastern.  He will make you pull your hair out.

May 1 through May 30 here in NY

hours of operation are about Sunrise until Noon.

I don't care for the late season or the half day hunting but take what I can get.  It is notice to have a whole month though.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Wisconsin has staggered seasons, one week at a time, you get to hunt one (more if there are leftover tags available).  4/16 thru 5/27 with a two day youth season before them.
