Asbell wool
« on: March 23, 2014, 10:07:00 PM »
Ok folks, I'm looking hard at getting some Asbell wool but I can't decide on a color/pattern. So for y'all that are are already blessed with owning some here's your chance...(please don't leave me hanging) post some pics of you in your wool and help me out in my decision. I'm torn between a few in particular like the grey, green, and timber ghost but hope to have an educated opinion after this post. Thanks in advance.

I have a full zip vest with no hood in Timber Ghost. It seems to go with all my camo and blends in well.

I like it and it has been a great layering garment as well as an outer garment when it is only slightly cold.

I have the hooded timber ghost and it is great. Very warm for as light as it wears. My wife stole it from me this winter when her tummy got too big being pregnant with my son    :)
Heading to bed now but I can try to take a pic for you tomorrow

Awesome guys thanks for the help. I really like the one of each idea! Unfortunately I don't think my wife would let me live to enjoy them if I got them all lol.

Evening Stand Brown and Evening Stand Green are the 2 most popular patterns for a reason....they blend everywhere...

Also Grey. Teresa makes a wool Anorak for my site, We offer them in OD Green and Grey. They Grey is turning out to be extremely popular. It disappears in the woods.

Evening Stand Green is a good all around pattern I think. Also, that is what was recomended when my wife got it for my Christmas gift.

I have Evening Stand Brown which is great and will soon have Timber Ghost also.  My choice of the two would probably be TG but it wasn't available when I got my ESB several years ago.  You will like whichever you choose...promise!

I bought the zippered jacket at Kalamazoo.  I noticed the other day on the shoulder where the sleeves are sewn on you can see a lot of thread showing. Kind of looks like the stitching is not tight enough. Has anyone else noticed this on their wool?
