New Toelke Chinook
« on: March 25, 2014, 12:52:00 PM »
Well, my new Chinook arrived in plenty of time to get ready for turkey season. I wanted something a bit darker as I would use it in a blind. Decided on zircote for the riser and bocote for the limb veneers. I apologize in advance for the pics and I will get some better pics up. I'm just so thrilled with the way this bow turned out I need to get some pics up now.  :)

It's 58" 51#@28" (I draw 30"). Don't think you'll see this one for sale. I know we've all said that before, but it is such a perfect compliment to my 64" 51#@28" classic whip (Macassar ebony and myrtle).

Looks an awful lot like my T/ D with the same specs!

You should grab the super static I have in the classifieds, you'd have a perfect trio!

Love those bocote limbs and black tips. You will be very happy with that Chinook. Just picked up a Chinook myself and couldn't believe how nice it shoots.

Certainly is a beauty Mike and I know how she shoots. I am generally not a big fan of bocote veneers, but one of the few times I told Dan to surprise me was with a Super D, he made me a black & white ebony/bocote bow that was probably as pretty a bow as I've ever seen and again yours is gorgeous.

Thanks  everyone. I'll try to snap a few more pics tomorrow.

Jim, funny thing  is, I  feel the same way. Not only about bocote veneers, but bocote in general. While looking at some bow combos planning this one I noticed some very nice bocote limbed bows. I described them to Dan and he nailed it.

PS...check out the kingwood/fiddleback myrtle super d on his site. Outstanding!  Love kingwood.

Wow!! That is one sweet Chinook. I received one from Dan earlier this year with Zircote and Myrtle limb veneers.  I love that figured Bocote.  Very impressive. Best of luck with it.
