How many different styles of bows do you shoot?
«

Subject says it all. How many different styles of bows do you own, shoot or are attracted to?
I embrace all traditional archery and can't get enough of it. I swing from TD recurves, high tech RD longbows, Hill style LB's, short static-tipped recurves to selfbows of white woods and osage.
Thanks for responding.

I used to own 2 bows , a Schafer Silvertip and a Black Widow , and shot both really well . Since getting bit with the bug I own and shoot recurves and longbows both 1 piece and takedowns , I really love them all but I know my accuracy has suffered . The old adage holds true " beware of the man who owns one gun " I envy guys who can shoot any bow , Fred

Mostly one piece recurves. I have one three-piece (Wing Presentation II - the original 3-piece TD recurve) and one longbow. But I do vary lengths: 56", 58", 60", 62" & 66".

I shoot a traditional recurve, but I must confess I'm attracted to compound bows. First or later I'll try one.

I shoot recurves and I prefer fairly hefty ones in both TD and 1-piece. I've been hunting with these exclusively since 2010.
However, (hide your eyes) I also own and shoot a top-of-the-line Mathews Compound. Oh, and I shoot the Genesis for "work". In fact, I'm going to begin a test today of shooting 1,440 arrows at a particular target insert (3D Deer) and take pictures every 100 shots to determine how many shots it can take before we use 115 of them with 4,600 kids the 2nd weekend of May. (I don't think I'll get to the 1,440th shot before the insert is useless, but that's the point of the test -- how many spares will we need.)

Currently I am mostly "trending toward" 1-pc longbows, more modern r/d designs, carbon in the limbs. This could change any minute.....

All but compounds! I prefer a self made hickory bow made from wood I cut in my neck of woods.

It seems that I can only shoot one bow well. The adjustment time for even a slight change in handle style or mass weight is a week or more (lot more for recurve to longbow) and while I can be reasonable with bows of the same style, I can't be really good. And I want to shoot good, so I keep focused on one bow and switch very deliberately.

Mostly hybrid R/D LB's but also have 1 piece recurves ranging fro 58"-64". Try to stick with only 1 near hunting season but will play with the others so they don't get lonely.

I have both straight longbows (HILL), reflex/deflex longbows, an English style longbow, recurves, and primitive selfbows. All are one piece bows, except one of the recurves. They range in draw weight from 30 to 78#, but mostly, I shoot 50 - 55#. The Hill bows are my favorites by far, but I have really been having fun with the English longbow.

Mild R/D longbows, Hybrids, Recurves (takedown & one piece).
I do not care to shoot Horse Bows, Self Bows, or anything with a metal riser.
