First Archery Deer Plaque back
«
on:
April 03, 2014, 09:04:00 PM »
My Father sent a package to me today.
When I opened it, I saw what he did with my first Bow killed deer.
He Used a Barn from my Grandfathers Old Dairy barn which no longer stands.

The heirloom barn board is a nice touch Charlie! You will enjoy glancing at "the days of yore" on those cold, wintry New York nights when your whiskers are white! The icing on the cake is that your father crafted it! That's 3 generations entwined on a tribute... Awesome!

That is very nice. I really like the significance of the board and that your Dad made it for you. Great memories there.

Nearly every day I looked at the plaque my father made that holds the antlers from my first deer. I'm 52, and I look back fondly of the day I shot that buck. Dad was as proud as I was!
I'm sure you'll enjoy your trophy for many years, knowing your dad crafted it with love and pride.

Very cool! That deer will forever be special and no matter how big your future bucks might be they will never take its place. Having a plaque made by your dad with wood from Grand dad's barn makes it oh so much better!
