TimberGhost Hybrid TD
« on: April 06, 2014, 11:19:00 AM »
Arrived from Kent yesterday, and got to play with it this morning.  It's 54" length feels SO much smaller than my 64" Sparrowhawk r/d "D", and it's just about as light, to boot.  The limbs are backed and faced with carbon, the riser is figured bubinga with black phenolic accents.

Anyhoo, i just spent a solid hour in my back yard range with the bow, where I can get out to 35 yards.  Man, she's a shooter alright - plenty of power on tap at only 50#.  With a tiny 54" of length, she's super smooth drawing back way out to 29.5".  Very solid in the bow hand, really great "pointability", no hand shock or bad habits.  I can mix 'n' match carbons and woods, all of varying weights and spines, don't matter - at 15-20 yards they all magically drive into a pie plate. Absolutely the best hybrid longbow I've ever shot to date.

Congrats Rob!

I likely don't need to be fortunate enough to run some arrows through one.

She is a real beauty Rob. I know what you mean regarding arrow choice. Mine digests a variety of shaft material and spine without any variance . Enjoy your new bow.

Kent's one piece Smoke is a fantastic bow as well. I can't wait for the day that I have enough money saved up to get one of these take-downs! Enjoy your beautiful T'Ghost, Rob!
